KADEN JACKSON
Biography
Kaden Jackson is an emerging Brisbane-based actor whose passion for performance began at the age of six and continued throughout his school years through poetry recitals, eisteddfods, and musical theatre. He graduated from the National Academy of Performing Arts in 2022, earning both his ATAR and a Certificate IV in Musical Theatre, and is currently completing a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Acting) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
In his final year at QUT, Kaden performed in two major productions that deepened his artistic practice and professional discipline. The first, Blood Wedding by Marina Carr—an Irish adaptation of Lorca’s Spanish tragedy—challenged him to master the Irish accent through extensive vocal training. Under the guidance of a dialect coach, and drawing on resources such as Freeing the Natural Voice and Voice and the Actor, Kaden dedicated himself to refining his vocal technique through study, rehearsal, and repetition. Balancing this demanding production with his simultaneous role in the independent theatre work, Bawdy Tales and Critical Fails: A Role Play Adventure, required precise scheduling and resilience as rehearsals and performance seasons overlapped.
Later that year, Kaden appeared in Space Cowboys by David Burton, a futuristic ensemble piece that was developed collaboratively throughout the rehearsal process. Portraying three distinct roles - Zeus, L, and S - he alternated roles between playing L and S on different nights, showcasing his adaptability and range. As the production underwent nineteen script revisions before its final performance, offering Kaden valuable experience in script development and creative flexibility. Working within an ensemble of multiple small scene groups, he contributed to the seamless transitions between scenes that ultimately unified the play into a cohesive narrative. As part of his portrayal of Zeus, Kaden was required to climb a steel ladder approximately five metres high, demonstrating a strong awareness of occupational health and safety procedures and physical control on stage while maintaining character focus.
Kaden’s experience across these productions strengthened his voice work, adaptability, and understanding of collaborative process—qualities he brings to every project. His goal is to establish a full-time career in performance that reflects honesty, imagination, and a lifelong commitment to storytelling.
